Implementation
INTRODUCTION
THE GROUP EXECUTIVE BOARD
In order to ensure that there is effective
and ongoing ownership of the Carbon
Management Plan, it is important to have
a fully defined governance structure.
Wernick Group have adopted the following
structure for management accountability.
The Group Executive Board has responsibility for the
strategic direction and implementation of the Carbon
Management Plan across the group.
The Board is chaired by the Group Chairman and
meets regularly to ensure continual progress is made
against the targets and objectives of the Carbon
Management Plan.
The output of the Group Executive Board is summarised
after each meeting and presented to the Executive Team
where any matters arising or requiring additional support
are discussed.
The remit of the Group Executive Board includes:
Implementation and delivery of the Carbon
Management Plan
Communicating the objectives and actions of
the plan to internal and external audiences
Keeping up to date with regulatory requirements
Monitoring the organisation’s performance against
its carbon management targets
Raising the profile of built environment carbon
management in the community and promoting
environmentally sustainable behaviour by staff
and visitors
