We invest significantly in apprenticeships with each individual supported by a
mentor and structured training programme. This hones their skills and leads to
full-time employment with the business on completion. In 2026, we will be creating
Apprenticeships
more apprenticeship opportunities across the Group, widening our ambition and
accessibility for those who wish to further their careers with Wernick.
Our apprenticeship programme covers our core
divisions. We focus both on providing school leavers
with the skills needed to access employment and
pursue a career, as well as upskilling and developing
our existing employees. This includes:
FULL-TERM APPRENTICESHIPS
Through our manufacturing facility and depot network,
we offer 18-month Level 3 apprenticeships across
a range of trades. In 2025, Wernick Hire launched a
new Hire desk apprenticeship scheme, enrolling six
apprentices on a bespoke Business Administration
Apprenticeship programme leading to a L3 Business
Administration NVQ.
SHARED APPRENTICESHIPS
We also partner with organisations such as YPrentis
and Cyfle Building Skills to provide short-term
placements for individuals, enabling them to gain the
necessary all-round experience they need to complete
their apprenticeship.
