Wernick Hire was the first supplier to become
accredited to the Considerate Constructors Scheme
(CCS), providing a benchmark to monitor, evaluate
and improve the local environmental and social
performance of its depots. In 2025, Wernick Hire
achieved an ‘Outstanding’ score rating from the
Considerate Constructors Scheme for all its depots,
improving the ‘Excellent’ performance from 2024.
The depots scored consistently highly across the CCS
categories of ‘Respect the Community’, ‘Care for the
Environment’ and ‘Value their Workforce’.
The depots were complimented on their involvement
with their respective communities, seeking customer
feedback to evaluate performance, innovation within
their product offering and good housekeeping which
was observed during their depot visits.
In 2025, Wernick Hire opened its first EPC A+ office
in their new location in Inverness. The office was
fitted with a 22 kWp SolarEdge system which over
the year will allow for the office to operate as energy
positive, further improving our commitment to
sustainable communities.
