Carbon savings
To support contractors working towards net zero, we
are developing and introducing a range of technologies.
Projects in 2025 included:
•
Introduced solar/wind hybrid frame for use on our
building systems
•
Expanded our fleet of BSUs with live telemetry,
APIs and CO2e programme data with Data Cubed.
•
Offering smart technologies, including smart plugs
and energy storage systems
•
Integrated new Fusion Li self-contained welfare unit
In 2024, we supported the development and early
testing of its hydrogen-powered G60RS H generator.
Powered by JCB’s hydrogen combustion engine
alongside battery storage, it demonstrated the potential
of hydrogen as a reliable, zero-emission power solution.
Water savings
We introduced rainwater butts at Aylesford school
that allowed the temporary classrooms to store up
to 11,000 litres of water on site. The stored water was
then reused back on the school grounds as well as
reducing surface water off to the ground. The water
butts will then be reused once the classrooms are
relocated to another project.
