CABINPUMP: an innovative waste water transfer system
Wernick Hire supported BAM Construction at First Street, Manchester, by providing an efficient solution when
temporary gravity drain connections to the site accommodation were unavailable. With over 150 workers on
site and limited space, traditional effluent tanks would have increased tanker movements, disruption, costs and
carbon emissions. CABINPUMP can pump effluent over 600 metres or to a height of 12 metres, therefore this
was a great solution. CABINPUMP diverted the effluent to a 10,000-litre above-ground effluent storage tank in a
nearby car park, reducing site congestion, tanker visits and environmental impact.
Norfolk energy project
Wernick AVDanzer delivered a PSFlex modular accommodation solution for the Norfolk Energy Project,
supporting the construction of a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converter station. We supplied a 10-on-10
complex for the main site team and a 3-on-3 building for client operations, alongside 336kWh battery storage
to reduce emissions. Our thermally efficient modules, seamless installation and responsive aftercare ensured
comfortable, reliable facilities that could support the project throughout its three-year construction programme.
Willow Dene School
Wernick Buildings delivered a 14-module, two-storey sixth form building for Willow Dene School, expanding SEND
provision for students aged 15 and over. Working closely with the school throughout design and pre-construction,
we created a facility featuring classrooms, a reception, staff room, lift, changing facility and toilets. Manufactured
off-site in South Wales and installed within a constrained site, the modular solution minimised disruption while
delivering high-quality educational accommodation in 31 weeks.
