4.1 Creating job opportunities
Working at our local centres and manufacturing facilities we have created over 53
new roles across the Group. These roles range from semi-skilled operative positions
to specialist technical roles as we broaden our Wernick Power Solutions offering and
increase our modular building and portable building manufacturing capability. We offer
ongoing training and development support to maintain a qualified and competent
workforce throughout the year.
As our workforce grows, so does the investment within our fleet and estate. In 2024
alone, the Group recorded its highest annual capital expenditure to date, investing
over £96 million. This substantial investment has been directed across multiple areas
of the business, including the expansion of the hire fleet for accommodation and
power, significant property developments, new plant and machinery, vehicles and the
acquisition of Rawley Plant Hire Limited.
