NEXT STEPS >>
We recognise it is important
that we continue to listen to and
engage with our stakeholders and
shape our activities to meet their
needs. This helps us to ensure
that the social value and impact
that we identify and deliver meet
the needs of our beneficiaries,
as well as creating further
opportunities through matched
contributions from our partners.
Reporting & monitoring
In 2024, we developed and launched our
new Social Value plan. The plan provides
a framework and examples of where we can
deliver social value across our operations,
supply chain and customer base. As a
place-based company, we are excited to
connect even more with local end users and
beneficiaries to ensure that our value is
targeted whilst creating a legacy.
Wernick board
The Wernick Board oversee and provides the
strategic direction for the Group’s approach to
social value across our businesses. Our Group
Technical Director, Andy King, leads our Social
Value ambition as well as wider reach through
his active role with the MPBA.
Focus areas
Across our six social value themes, we have
established key areas of focus which will be
used to stimulate activities and direct social
value where it is needed the most. Our goal in
2025 is to launch our Outcome Day initiative,
allowing each member of staff to dedicate time
to activities that enhance local communities,
strengthen relationships and support
environmental goals through volunteering with
our partners, Keep Britain Tidy and the NVCO.
